Far Away, From Home is a visually striking sculpture that delves into themes of home, immigration, identity politics, and queerness. Inspired by the Chinese zodiac Year of the Dragon, Zhang reimagines a domestic shelving unit from their childhood as a platform for their photographic creations. Drawing from Trinh T. Minh-ha's essay, "Far Away, From Home: The Comma Between," the installation prompts reflections on otherness and the evolving concept of home.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed supporters: The Barr Foundation, the Deborah Munroe Noonan Memorial Fund, Goulston & Storrs, The Greenway BID, the Mabel Louise Riley Foundation, Meet Boston, the Wagner Foundation, and the TD Charitable Foundation, whose generosity made Far Away, From Home possible.
