WINTERACTIVE is being produced by the Downtown Boston BID in partnership with three curatorial partners from Canada's Québec province: EXMURO Arts Publics of Québec City; LeMonde Studio of Montréal; and Quartier des Spectacles International (QDSI) of Montréal. Each artwork and play feature was selected to encourage wintertime exploration and promote visits during winter months downtown.

According to Downtown Boston BID President Michael Nichols, WINTERACTIVE is a major expansion of the organization's commitment to display high-impact public art exhibits and cultural events downtown. The exhibition will animate and illuminate the streets of Boston this winter, bringing internationally acclaimed artists to the city and punctuating visits downtown that could include shopping, dining, live performances, or office work.
