Founded right here in Boston by the influential figure in the music scene, Hilken Mancini, Punk Rock Aerobics gained nationwide popularity and was even featured on MTV, Rolling Stone Magazine, Newsweek, People, The New York Times, and more. Their book, "Punk Rock Aerobics: 75 Killer Moves, 50 Punk Classics, and 25 Reasons to Get Off Your Ass and Exercise," published in 2004 by DaCapo Press, remains a testament to their impact. Not to mention, Hilken recently starred in a Green Day video released in 2020.
