Whether you’re in the mood for some spirited company or prefer to watch the game over a family-friendly meal, Boston’s West End has you covered.

With Game 1 of the Finals tipping off today, here are nine bars, restaurants, and watch parties to cheer on the Celtics near TD Garden.

Night Shift Brewery, Lovejoy Wharf

Immerse yourself in the game day spirit while sipping on a crisp Garden Party Pilsner at Night Shift Brewery’s flagship Lovejoy Wharf location. This in-house brewery boasts a sprawling patio overlooking the Zakim Bridge and TD Garden, with an interior spacious enough for large parties. Don't miss Night Shift’s acclaimed Detroit-style pizzas and the seasonal menu specials like the new Mediterranean Chicken Pizza, Jamaican Jerk Wings, and Pride Month Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich.

No reservation? No problem. This New England chain is one of the few spots in the area that seats on a first-come, first-serve basis on game days. Located just across from TD Garden, it's a popular game day spot thanks to its extensive drink menu and classic bar bites, including gluten-free and vegan options.

Banners Kitchen & Tap

Banners has everything a great sports bar needs, and more: a 39.5-foot diagonal LED television, a sprawling bar, chicken wings sold by the pound, and comfortable seating. Attached to TD Garden, it’s perfect for sharing beers with fellow Celtics fans before indulging in stacked nachos or mini sliders. Consider making a reservation a few days in advance as it gets busy on game days.

Sullivan’s Tap

Sullivan’s is the quintessential no-frills West End dive, just a few feet from TD Garden. Opened in 1933, it's a true blast from the past. Enjoy some pool, watch the game, and play tunes on the jukebox, but don’t come hungry—Sullivan’s strictly serves drinks.

The Harp

The Harp offers more than just buffalo chicken dip (served with waffle fries) and three bars—it lets you skip the line outside. Thanks to LineLeap, an app that allows patrons to pay their cover fee from their phones, you can skip the wait. This West End classic has embraced modern convenience, making it an enticing place to watch the Finals.

Watch Parties

Sam Adams Tap Room

The Samuel Adams Downtown Boston Tap Room is hosting a Game 1 watch party on Thursday, featuring green beer (#bleedinggreen) and a new limited-edition brew, Derrick’s Draft Pick Lager. The watch party kicks off at 6 p.m.

If you’ve ever been to the Garden for a game, you’ve likely heard of Hurricanes. With DJ sets and multiple TVs, it’s known for throwing a good party. Celebrate Game 1 on Thursday with 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Michael Felger & Tony Massarotti, live from Hurricane’s at 2 p.m.

Scores ensures every seat is a good one with 33 televisions split between two levels. The upstairs restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere, while the downstairs bar provides a lively fan experience. Celebrate Game 1 at the Scores watch party on Thursday. Walk-ins are welcome between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., but reservations are required for restaurant and bar seating. There’s a $20 cover charge for standing room after 7:30 p.m.

The Greatest Bar

With four floors, two bars, and a 24-foot LED television, The Greatest Bar lives up to its name. Known for its hype and sometimes rowdy crowd, it’s perfect for die-hard fans who want an atmosphere that feels like being inside the Garden. The Greatest Bar gets packed during the playoffs, so reserving a seat ahead of time is recommended. Doors open at 6 p.m., with a $20 cover charge.
