  • Special Bonus: Visitors who snag free tickets will also get access to the MFA’s captivating Hokusai exhibit, titled “Hokusai: Inspiration and Influence.” Normally, this exhibit carries a $7 surcharge, but on Memorial Day, it’s included for free.

2. Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA)

  • When: Memorial Day (May 30th)

  • Registration: Unlike the MFA, the ICA allows visitors to reserve free passes ahead of time. Registration opens on Sunday at 10 a.m. via the ICA website.

  • Featured Exhibition: Don’t miss “María Berrío: The Children’s Crusade.” Colombian artist María Berrío delves into the history of the 1212 Christian conversion efforts through a contemporary lens. Her thought-provoking artwork invites reflection on our current sociopolitical climate.
